In the Admin Tools – Security, click on the REST Keys section.
Click on the Add icon to add a new key.
Enter the name of the application, and click on “Generate Key.”
The key generated will be the “password” used to login from the Events2HVAC system. Do not share this with the public. If the key is compromised, you can generate a new key.
Click Save to save your new key.
After you have saved the key, a new Rock user will show up with the name of “Events2HVAC” in this case. This “user” will need to be assigned the appropriate permissions for each REST Controller that Events2HVAC needs to be able to read data from using the API.
