Command Types

When using the SetCommand actions, the different types of commands sent will affect the object commanded in different ways.

Adjust Level Commands:

These commands are issued at priority 16. Additionally, adjust Level commands release any command

at priority 15 through 9. This includes priority 16 commands from MCO or Interlock, but not LCT or

other features. The Operate permission is needed to execute these commands. These types of commands

make not be issued by any user, even one with the Operate permission if Local Control is True.

Override Commands:

These commands are issued at priority 8. These higher priority commands will take precedence over

Adjust Level Commands. Only users with the Intervene permission may issue an Override. The Local

Control flag does not affect the ability to issue Overrides.

Setpoint Commands:

This command is specialized to AOs that are bound to ADF and ADI within a field controller. When

invoked, the command will re-write the EEPROM value of the ADF or ADI. This command does not

have a priority and you will only see it take affect if there is no command at all (not even a relinquish

default command) in the supervisor controller or it the N2 Trunk fails for more than 10 minutes. A user

needs the Operate Permission to execute this command. The Local Control Flag does not affect the

ability to issue Setpoint Commands.

Release All Commands:

This command will always remove all commands currently affecting the point. If, however, the Ignore

Relinquish Default flag is false then the command will finish up by issuing a priority 16 command at

the value of the Relinquish Default attribute.

Release Commands:

This command simply destroys one command in the specified priority slot.
