When accessing the web SmartService, a finite number of concurrent WebStation logins are available based on your purchased Kantech options. Care must be taken to make sure Events2HVAC login takes priority over other users so that automatic lock/unlock commands from the daily schedules are not blocked by another user login.
By default, Events2HVAC will try to keep its login session alive so that it retains one session while it is running. If you only have 1 concurrent login for your organization, you will need to acquire more from Kantech to allow others to login.
It is possible that other users can exhaust all the logins before Events2HVAC tries to login or prior to sending a door command. An error will be generated when this occurs, and depending on your Events2HVAC settings, the software will attempt to re-sync the door when login is available again.
To reduce potential conflicts, you should enable a connection time on idle for each operator so that inactive operators signed in to the WebStation will be signed out after a certain time.
In the Operator – Web parameters, recommended settings for other users:
- Uncheck Concurrent Logins
- Check Connection Timeout on Idle
- 5 min Idle Timeout
