1. Determine the port and API url to use for the
connection. You can find this in the SMC console.

2. Add a
login account for Events2HVAC to access the API and assign to a security group
with limited scope and permissions.
3. Create a system view and name it “Events2HVAC” or something similar. This will be the container that will hold all the available points that you want to expose to Events2HVAC.
4. Move all the interface points into this view for Events2HVAC to access.
