If you can’t discover the local E2H-S point for failover control, you can optionally define heartbeat target points for E2H to push heartbeat commands to. Typically, if you are using the BV-1 status point for monitoring, you won’t need to send heartbeats.
You can only define targets for BV, BO, AV, and AO point types.
Click the “Add” button to create a target:

Device Id
Enter the device instance id for the target
Point Type
Enter the point type for the target
Instance Id
Enter the instance id of the point
Priority
Enter the priority of the command (16 default)
Heartbeat Type
There are two types of output for the heartbeat:
Ping: Sends a single command every 5 minutes. (Binary 1, Analog 100)
Toggle: Sends alternating commands every 5 minutes. (Binary 0/1, Analog 0/100)
Test Button
After you have defined the point parameters and the point exists in the 3rd party system, click the test button to send a command to the point.
You can define multiple targets so that you can send commands to building controllers to improve reliability in the case if one controller becomes offline.
