This option allows you to import bulk equipment items from a CSV (comma-separated value) file. This is different from importing .EQP files, which contain much more information about the system in general. The equipment items imported through this dialog will not include any device configurations settings, nor will equipment actions or room mapping information be transferred. These can, however, be imported in separate files.
Begin by clicking Import to initiate the import dialog box.
Enter the file name of the CSV file to import and hit the Import button.
Any existing equipment items that match the equipment name will be updated with the new information. Room assignments and actions are not affected.
If a new equipment item is added, the room assignments and actions will be empty.
Once imported, you can view the equipment items that were imported and make changes before they are added to the database.
