Follow the instructions on the installation program to install the port sharing service on the PC or server. The application should be installed on a PC that will be running 24/7, especially if the service will be handling scheduling commands from Events2HVAC.
After the installation is completed, the NetX Port Sharing Service Controller application will start. This application is used to setup port mapping and also start/stop the sharing service.
If you have Command Center clients or Events2HVAC clients that are remote from the location of NPSS, you will need to make sure your incoming ports that you defined in NPSS are allowed in the NPSS server firewall. See http://support.streamsidesolutions.com/entries/22998797-Configuring-firewall-rules-for-NetX-Port-Sharing-Service for details on firewall rules.
