After hitting the Test Connection button in the setup window, a timeout message occurs after a period of time.
Possible Solutions:
• P2000 URL is incorrect. Verify the IP address and the XMLRPC port that is being used.
• The P2000 server is blocking the XMLRPC port (41023). Verify the firewall is off or there is a rule to allow that TCP port.
• The Events2HVAC server firewall is blocking communications to the P2000
• The IP address of the Events2HVAC server is not entered in the External IPs list. Verify the correct IP and the the Allow and Use XmpRpc check boxes are checked.
• There is a network device in between the Events2HVAC server and the P2000 server that is blocking the port traffic.
• The XMLRPC service in P2000 is not running. Verify the service is running on the P2000 server.
Note: If you are unable to resolve communication timeout issues, leave the P2000 URL field blank before you save the form. This will prevent further attempts to communicate and the delays before timeout that may cause the application to “hang” until the timeout occurs.
