Remoting Connection

This final step checks to see if a Windows remoting connection can be established to the server. By default, the client uses TCP port 5049 as the remoting channel.  This channel is used by the client to talk to the server component.

If you get a message from your firewall software asking if you should block or unblock the communication, select unblock.

If your IT department has a hardware firewall between the client and the server and you are unable to connect via remoting, you might have to open up a TCP port to allow remoting.
