In Series25, reservation refers to a specific meeting pattern of a class such as a MWF lecture.
In Events2HVAC, the event and reservations are used in the exact opposite way that Series25 uses them. The event is the individual space reservation that will occur on a specific day and time for a specific period of time, and the event is generated from a reservation.
Each reservation in Series25 can designate the following periods:
• Setup period – the time required to setup for the reservation
• Pre-event period – the time prior to the actual start of the event (mingling, registration, etc)
• Main Event period – the actual event
• Post-event period – the time after the event ends and prior to takedown of the event
• Takedown period – the time the reservation is taken down and return to normal.
In Events2HVAC, only the following periods are supported:
• Setup
• Main Event
• Teardown
The period between setup and teardown is referred to as the “booked” time or “reserved” time in E2H. The main event is the event time. In the Events2HVAC setup options, you must define how you want the Series25 periods to map into the E2H periods. The default is the Series25 setup and pre-event periods will equate to the setup period in E2H and the post-event and takedown periods equate to the teardown period in E2H.
Important: Make sure you have set the correct timezone for the R25 server if your Events2HVAC server is in a different timezone.
