The Events2HVAC service manager is a Windows service that allows a local or remote client to manage and monitor other Events2HVAC services. It communicates via a REST API (HTTP services). It was introduced starting v1.5.2 so that users weren’t required to be a Windows administrator to start/stop the Events2HVAC Windows service.
The service is named Events2HVAC.Manager and can be controlled using Control Panel – Services.
In future versions, it will also perform service discovery functions for other systems and services that will be added later.
The default port for the service manager is TCP 5048.
Service manager can be enabled in Admin – Options – Service Manager Tab.
