StartStop Action

This action will send a command to a single relay for occupied state and unoccupied state.

This action applies to the following event triggers

      EventStartStop

      EventSetupTeardown

      ZoneFirstLastEventStartStop

      ZoneFirstLastSetupTeardown

After adding a new action in equipment manager, select one of the triggering events, along with the “ControlByWeb” interface, followed by the “StartStop” action.

Note:  Only the event triggers shown can be used for StartStop action.  The action won’t be available if other event triggers are selected here.

Action Settings

The dialog below is shown with default settings applied.  You can choose to use global user settings from the default settings configured earlier, or individually set the user/pass for each thermostat.

Select the model number for the relay device.

Relay Name

Friendly name for the relay output

 

IP Address

IP address of relay

 

Port

Port number of the relay

80=default (http)

User

Optional user for control permission on this relay

“user”, “manager”, “admin” or blank

Password

Optional password for authenticating with the relay

Must be configured in the device.

Relay #

The relay number to control. 

1=relay 1, 2=relay 2, etc.

Use Ssl

Check if you want to send using https.

Checked = “https”

Unchecked = “http”

Use Global Passwod

Check if the relay is using the default user/pass found in settings.

Occupied State

Value to send to the relay for occupied commands

0=relay off (de-energized)

1=relay on (energized)

Unoccupied State

Value to send to the relay for unoccupied commands

0=relay off (de-energized)

1=relay on (energized)

 

Verify Button

To verify the device can be read over the network, click on the verify button.  You will see some information coming back from the relay device to verify communications and read the state of the device.

The “Show All States” checkbox will show the relay states for all of the I/O on the device instead of just the single relay state.

Test Start Button

Click the “Test Start” button to test sending a command when an event start is triggered.  You will see the status of the relay after the command is sent. 

Test Stop Button

Click the “Test Stop” button to test sending a command when an event stop is triggered.  You will see the status of the relay after the command is sent. 

Setup Button

Click the “Setup” button to open the devices setup html page.
