Event States

The Series25 event state determines which reservations will be used to command equipment.  The following table explains the different states.  The event states that will command equipment are selected in the Series25 options form.

Draft

Lets the user save event information in the event creation form without committing it to the Series25 event structure. Doesn't consume spaces or resources, and no workflow is generated. Selected spaces and/or resources are saved as preferences.

Tentative

1

Used as determined by your school's business practices. Space and resource assignments are saved with the event. This is the initial default state for new events, unless your school has changed the default.

Confirmed

2

Used as determined by your school's business practices. Has the same effect as Tentative, but provides a way to designate different stages in the life cycle of an event.

Sealed

3

Used at the point in your school's scheduling process when you're ready to seal or close the event. The event is no longer editable, but can be unsealed by an authorized Series25 user.

Cancelled

4

Used to designate an event as canceled while keeping it for historical purposes. Space and resource assignments are released and saved as preferences. Notifications are updated to show the cancel state. Event cannot be edited unless state is changed by an authorized Series25 user.
