If you want to manually create an event for a specific equipment item, click on the Manual Schedule button. This feature is provided to test equipment commands and to schedule/trigger device actions in rooms that are not scheduled in the event provider system.
To create a manual event, select an equipment item, then click on the Manual Schedule button.
The following dialog will appear allowing you to enter a manual event.
Enter the event start and stop times and the optional setup and teardown times for the event. This will add to the Command Queue the commands supplied in the equipment action for a one-time event.
The event description will show up in the Command Queue and also in any applicable event reports, so it is a good practice to indicate that this event was not generated in the event provider system to avoid confusion.
To cancel a manually created event, you must open the Command Queue tab, locate all of the equipment commands that were created from the event, and delete them one by one.
Warning: Manual event entries are intended for testing situations only and should never be used on equipment associated with rooms with frequently-changing schedules. Manually and automatically scheduled events on the same equipment item can result in unexpected command sequencing.
Note: A manual event does not create any event in the event provider’s system and thus will not appear in any calendar views. In this way, manual events allow the appropriate equipment commands for an event to be generated and submitted to the Command Queue, circumventing the event provider.
Note: If the equipment pre-start and/or setup times place the first scheduled equipment command to occur at a time in the past, the time will be adjusted to the current time.
