Rooms and Buildings

In the Event Manager, Locations determine the rooms and their associated buildings. Since there is no attributes in the location data to indicate whether the location is a building or a room, we make the following assumptions:

• Rooms are locations that have no other child locations (bottom of the hierarchy).

• The assigned “building” associated with the room is the room locations’ parent location.

If the buildings assigned in Events2HVAC aren’t what you expect, you can always change the room groups in Events2HVAC so that they make sense.

If any rooms are changed or added in Event Manager after you setup Events2HVAC, you will need to rebuild the room list in Events2HVAC so that the changes are seen.
